Kiwi living in Victoria, British Columbia. I work in the technology industry at the intersection of developer tooling and product design. I currently lead a team of designers at Stripe working on next-generation developer experience, AI, apps, and support.
I've worn many hats in my career, from design leader to content designer, developer, and running my own internet startups. With my global experience living in Canada, The Netherlands, and growing up in New Zealand, I bring a unique perspective to everything I do.
Work Experience
I lead the developer experience and apps design teams, building next-generation developer products that people use to grow the GDP of the internet. My team is working on the future of developer experience and AI.
I led user experience for developer platform as a manager of a team of 8. We worked on everything from developer experience to Custom Storefronts, which shipped next-generation headless commerce tools, Hydrogen and Oxygen, as well as major improvements to documentation, the app platform, and more.
I helped brands with content, user experience strategy, design systems and more, with a technical slant. I worked with world-class companies including Google, Stripe, IKEA, Spotify, Hubspot, Intercom, DigitalOcean and many more to help them build better products.
Built the digital marketing organization from the ground up to focus on data-driven decision making and moved app + web development in-house, oversaw the team budget, and responsible for digital strategy.
I led the engineering team, built out a digital marketing + voice strategy, and helped launch the brand into new countries, including our Japan debut, online.
Telling stories about the people behind technology, writing news and breaking down complex topics for wide audiences. Managed implementation of performance-focused overhaul of the site, slashing loading times 60 percent.
I helped built out Xero's cloud infrastructure and keep their network running for millions of users.
Projects
The next-generation Stripe developer experience that makes it easier than ever for developers to integrate with Stripe. My team built this new design pattern from the ground up, and expect it to change the way developers think about their dashboard.
I led a UX team of 6 designers at Shopify that delivered Hydrogen and Oxygen, the next-generation framework and platform for building beautiful headless e-commerce websites.
I worked with Spotify’s team to help build a next-generation design system based on a 'system of systems' approach, which was rolled out across the company and helped dramatically increase developer + designer productivity.
